DR. JANE E KEAT

ORGANIZATIONAL CONSULTING
I offer psychologically informed consultation, group facilitation, and organizational development assistance to CEOs, senior leaders, and their teams to build thriving, psychologically intelligent, and emotionally sustainable organizations.

So much of what happens inside an organization is related to emotional and psychological factors. Groups and organizations—as living systems—have a life of their own and develop their own emotions, behaviors, and patterns. They are also deeply affected by the sociopolitical realities of the world around them and carry the wounds of systemic and intergenerational trauma and injustice.

Yet traditional management and organizational development approaches do not attend to these psychosocial aspects of organizational life. As a result, teams and leaders can get stuck in repetitive patterns, conflicts, and dysfunctions that prevent them from fulfilling their missions and lead to vicious cycles of inefficacy, stress, burnout, and crisis. This is the need I work to meet.
After an initial consultation to identify the specific needs of your team or organization, I will share my recommendations, and we will develop a plan. Problems you bring to me might include:

-
Difficulties clarifying vision, purpose, goals, and strategy
-
Conflicts on teams or boards
-
Problems implementing organizational change, including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives
-
Team burnout and trauma

I focus on helping you change structures and work practices to create substantive, long-term impact, through the following interventions.
CONSULTATION TO LEADERS
Individual consultation for CEOs and other leaders, offering practical support to help manage psychological dynamics in the organization; navigate interpersonal, sociocultural, and power-related tensions on teams; and think through complex problems.
GROUP FACILITATION
Trauma-informed facilitation for leadership teams, boards, and other groups to support effective functioning and conflict resolution.

Development and facilitation of retreats to clarify purpose and goals; build group coherence; and work through complex situations.
